Bartow Schools Pre-K, Kindergarten Registration Start Feb. 26

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Bartow County School System will kick off pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration beginning next month for your little ones. Registration for both grade levels will begin Monday, Feb. 26, with pre-kindergarten registration running through March 2 and kindergarten registration ending March 16.

For those entering pre-k, children who will have their fourth birthday on or before Sept. 1, 2018, are eligible to enroll during the 2018-19 school year. For this registration, parents must provide the child's Social Security card, current immunization record on Form 3231; eye, ear, dental and nutrition screening on Form 3300; certified birth certificate; two proofs of residency and proof of any government assistance such as medicaid or food stamps.

Registration packets will be available at Adairsville, Emerson, Mission Road, Allatoona, Euharlee, Pine Log, Clear Creek, Hamilton Crossing, Taylorsville, Cloverleaf, Kingston and White elementary schools. The lottery drawing is scheduled for March 23 at the Bartow County College and Career Academy.

Kindergarten registration will be held at the system's central registration office (for GPS purposes, use 1653 Cassville Road NW, Cartersville). Required documents for student registration include: birth certificate or passport; Social Security card or tax form; certificate of immunization (form 3231); certificate of hearing, vision, dental and nutrition (form 3300); parent or legal guardian's driver's license or other government-issued identification (if you are not the parent, you will be required to provide legal custody or guardianship paperwork; and previous school records or special education records, if applicable).

You must also provide two printed proofs of residency. Acceptable documents include current lease/rental agreement, any utility bill, current income statement or paystub. If you are living with someone else, you must submit a notarized affidavit of residency, plus two printed proofs of residency in that person's name. Notary services are available at central registration.
