- Governor Kemp announced an EV battery plant for Bartow County: Hyundai Motor Group and SK On have selected a site in Bartow County for a new electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility. Estimated to create more than 3,500 new jobs and an approximate $4-5 billion investment in Bartow County, the new facility will supply Hyundai Motor Group's plants in the United States. - Emma Paige was sworn into the Cartersville Board of Education: In a regular session meeting on Monday, November 14, Cartersville City Schools Board of Education member Kathi White made a motion to amend the agenda to turn in her resignation. The Board voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of Emma Paige as the new Board representative for Ward 2. Paige was sworn in on Thursday afternoon. (WBHF via Facebook)
