Police Recover Suicide Victim's Body From Allatoona Lake
The man's body was found Sunday near Bethany Bridge in Bartow County.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — The body of a man reported missing was recovered Sunday from Allatoona Lake in Bartow County, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources has confirmed to Patch.
Game wardens located the body of the missing man around 5:15 p.m. Aug. 5 near Bethany Bridge, said Mark McKinnon, DNR - Law Enforcement Division spokesperson. McKinnon said the search for the man began Saturday morning and his vehicle was located nearby.
DNR officials used sonar equipment and a remote operated vehicle to carry out the operation. The male's body has been turned over to Bartow County authorities. Joel Guyton, Bartow County coroner, said the victim's identity will not be released, since his death has been ruled a suicide.
