Booth: For the Love of Art a 'Great' Success
The museum's largest fundraiser of the year honored Fred Fellows, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
on Feb. 18 hosted its third For the Love of Art gala. As the biggest annual fundraiser for the museum, it raised more than $100,000 through silent and live auctions, as well as a raffle for a miniature replica sculpture of Giving Thanks—the life-size sculpture is located on the Booth Museum North Lawn—by artist Deborah Fellows.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Booth's Lifetime Achievement Award to artist Fred Fellows.
Just over 250 people, representing 11 states, attended the sold out event, which included many artists as well as musician Red Steagall. In addition to Fred and Deborah Fellows, other artists in attendance were Cowboy Artists of America member John Coleman, David DeVary, Star York and David Wright, as well as several artists from the metro Atlanta area.

Following the live auction, Executive Director Seth Hopkins presented the Booth Lifetime Achievement Award to Artist Fred Fellows. Fellows became the fourth-ever recipient of the award, joining Howard Terpning, G. Harvey and Kenneth Riley.
