Booth Photography Guild Opens Biennial Exhibition
The newly-created guild offers educational opportunities to showcase members' work.

announced today's opening of the Booth Photography Guild Biennial Exhibition. Comprised of photography enthusiasts from around northwest Georgia, the Booth Photography Guild meets monthly for educational opportunities and programming related to photography. This is the first juried exhibition the Guild has had since its inception last fall, and will be on view in the Borderlands Gallery through Nov. 13.
“Founded in October 2010, the Booth Photography Guild is intended for photographers of all levels and experience,” said Booth Photography Guild President Lynn Henderson. “We meet once per month for a program which ranges from critique sessions to guest speakers to workshops. Additionally, the guild organizes special photography outings to practice shooting. We have been pleased with our success thus far and with the 81 members who have joined BPG since we were founded. We look forward to showcasing our work in the Booth Photography Guild Biennial Exhibition.”
More than 250 photographs by members of BPG were submitted for consideration for the exhibition. An anonymous judge was asked to select the top 50 photographs, which are included in the exhibit. Visitors to the Booth will see a wide range of black-and-white and color photography including landscapes, people, abstract and more.
