Pet of the Week: Karma the Border Collie
Karma is waiting for his fur-ever family to come along with a mini-van with a few frisbees in the back.
Border Collies have been man's companion for many years helping to herd sheep, cows and other animals. That's why we often see many versions of this breed in Bartow County. Typically smaller than an American Collie (think Lassie), Borders are known for their intelligence and good humor.
A professorhas been working with his Border Collie, Chaser, and after many, many tests it was determined that she has a vocabulary of over 1200 objects. If you're a fan of agility or frisbee contests, you'll often see Border Collies attaining great athletic feats.
Karma is a two year old male Tri-Colored Border Collie who is up for adoption at the in Cartersville. Adoption fees are $175 and include neutering, all shots, flea medications, a microchip and a heartworm test (he's negative). Friends of EVHS: Your assistance needed! We are running very very low on dry puppy food, we could use some dry adult food and really need a lot of kitty litter. We get donations of adult dog quite a often but not puppy and not kitty litter. We could also use bleach, dishwashing and laundry detergent and old towels if you have them.
