<h2>A Week of Imagination and Adventure for Young Storytellers.</h2>
The Bartow History Museum invites young adventurers to step into a world of imagination and storytelling during its Wands &amp; Warriors Summer Camp.
Designed for children ages 5-7, this magical week transforms the museum into the mythical Kingdom of the Bartow History Museum, where campers will explore stories of wizards, knights, and princesses. Through creative activities, storytelling, and hands-on fun, children will become part of their own fairy tale adventure.
Campers will engage their imaginations while discovering legendary tales and heroic traditions in a playful and engaging environment.
The cost is $115 per camper, and space is limited. Early registration is encouraged.

<h2>Exploring the History and Legacy of Juneteenth</h2>
The Bartow History Museum will host its June Lunch &amp; Learn featuring a program by Seneca Vaught on the history and significance of Juneteenth. The presentation explores Juneteenth from the emancipation of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, through its establishment as a federal holiday, and considers how it fits within the broader landscape of cultural celebrations, while highlighting its enduring historical importance and relevance today.
Admission is free for museum members and $9 for non-members.
<h3>About the Speaker</h3>
Seneca Vaught is Professor of History at Kennesaw State University and an interdisciplinary scholar working at the intersection of culture and policy. His work emphasizes the use of historical methods in community engagement, historical preservation, and public policy projects.

“Daylily Showcase” 2026 Daylily Show and Plant Sale.&nbsp; Saturday, June 20, at the Cartersville Civic Center.&nbsp; 435 W. Main Street, Cartersville GA 30120.&nbsp; Open to the public from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.&nbsp; Hosted by N.W. Georgia Daylily Society. Accredited and judged by the American Hemerocallis/Daylily Society. Beginning at 1:30, view prize-winning daylilies on display in the main showroom of the Civic Center. Then shop in the back room for named and unnamed daylilies, bargain-priced at $10 to $20. Sale will showcase "Oz" named daylilies, as well as green (for "Wicked"), and best-of-the-best winners, the "Stout" winners. Cash, check, credit/debit cards accepted for payment. Free admission. Free parking in the lot north of the Civic Center. Public votes on best off-scape and on design entries to determine both people’s choice award winners. <h2>A Journey Through Legendary Stories and Ancient Cultures.</h2>
The Bartow History Museum invites curious young minds to explore legendary tales from around the world during its Myths of Many Lands Summer Camp.
Designed for children ages 8-12, this week-long camp takes participants on a journey through ancient cultures and the stories that shaped them. Campers will discover myths filled with heroes, monsters, and legendary quests while learning about the historical traditions behind these tales.
Throughout the week, campers will explore stories from a variety of cultures – climbing the heights of Mount Olympus, navigating the maze of the Minotaur, and learning about the mighty hammer Mjölnir, famously wielded by the Norse god Thor. Through activities, storytelling, and hands-on learning, campers will connect mythology with the real histories and cultures that inspired these enduring legends.
The cost is $115 per camper, and space is limited. Early registration is encouraged.

With a different theme to explore each week, every session offers a brand-new discovery.&nbsp;&nbsp;Roll up your sleeves and sharpen your observation skills as you practice crime scene investigation&nbsp;one week, or master the art of collaboration by creating your own museum exhibit&nbsp;the next. From cracking the code to using creativity to engineer solutions to wild challenges, our junior scientists will tackle different adventures all&nbsp;summer&nbsp;long.
