Car Falls On Man In Cartersville

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A patient was transported to Cartersville Medical Center Thursday morning after a car he was trying load onto a trailer fell on him outside a hotel.

Crews with Bartow County EMS responded to a call July 13 of a man trapped under a car at Knights Inn Cartersville at 420 E. Church Street. They arrived to find the male on the ground conscious and alert, but "complaining of difficulty breathing," said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

Cothran told Patch that the car the male was trying to load onto a trailer was on a jack stand when it fell and landed on his chest.

The male was removed from under the vehicle, quickly assessed and transported to the hospital for treatment. Return for updates.
