Cartersville, Bartow Schools Make Decision On Sept. 13 Classes

Both systems were closed Monday and Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Irma moving through the state.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- School operations and classes will return to a normal schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 13 for students in the Cartersville City and Bartow County school systems.

Both districts will open at their normal times after they were closed Monday and Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Irma moving through the state.

Cartersville and Bartow County residents continue to clean up after Irma steamrolled through the state, bringing down numerous trees and power lines. As of 7 p.m. Tuesday, Georgia Power reported less than 40 of its customers were without power in the county.
