Council Eyes Garbage Rate Hike
While Cartersville council members who ran unopposed in November were sworn in at the first meeting of 2012, leaders discussed capacity fees and a $2 increase in monthly garbage collection fees, which would cover the new recycling program.
Cartersville councilmen meet at on the first and third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. for a work session and 7 p.m. for regular business.
