The city of Cartersville on Saturday will open two of its pools, giving residents a chance to cool off in what’s sure to be another hot, sticky summer.

May 23 to Aug. 2
- Tuesday to Friday: noon to 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday: noon to 6 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Aug. 8 to Sept. 6
- Saturday: noon to 6 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
September 7 (Labor Day)
- noon to 5:30 p.m.
The Dellinger Park Pool will be closed on Mondays, except Memorial Day, July 4 (when applicable) and Labor Day.
Hours for the Aubrey Street (135 Aubrey Street) pool are:
May 23 to Aug. 2
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: noon to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: noon to 6 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Aubrey Street Pool will be closed on Wednesdays. Cartersville has also released its 2015 pool fees, which will be:
- Ages 2 and under: free
- Ages 3-12: $2 per visit
- Ages 13 and over: $3 per visit
- Daily pass: $5 (unlimited entry for one day)
- (everyone age 5 and older must pay to enter, no exceptions)
No residents who are 12 and under will be admitted into the pool without being accompanied by a person who is 16 years old or older.
Pool passes are available at the Dellinger Park Office. Individual swim passes are available to purchase for $40. Family passes are available for $100 for a family of four and $20 for each additional family member. The passes are available for immediate family members only.
A swim pass allows unlimited visits to the pool for pleasure swimming during public hours. A limit of 250 passes are sold on a first come, first served basis.
The city warns residents that it’s mandatory that all children who are not completely potty-trained to wear swim pants -- water permeable with elastic legs and waistband -- over a diaper or swim diaper.
Swim diapers are preferred, and are available for purchase at the Dellinger pool gate/concession stand. For more information, call 770-387-5626.
