Cartersville Electric Gets Grant

Programs made possible by the award could mean money and other incentives in customers' pockets.

With a GEFA grant it received through Electric Cities of Georgia, Cartersville Electric System is set to offer customers incentives and rebates.

The Green Street grant is funded through the Georgia State Energy Program and administered by GEFA for a Residential Energy Efficiency program. In all, ECG received $500,000 in funding and Cartersville Electric System received $38,300 of that funding.

Green Street is a coordinated residential energy efficiency program for Georgia’s public power utilities that reinforces the community focus of Cartersville Electric. It also demonstrates an interest and commitment to the environmental issues that concern our residential customers.
