Cartersville Hosting Photo Contest For 2022 City Calendar
The City of Cartersville is seeking public submissions for the 2022 city calendar from the community.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Break out your camera - or rummage through your stash - for a chance to have your photo featured in the 2022 City of Cartersville calendar! This contest is for the crème de la crème images of Cartersville. Whether it's a beauty shot of downtown, a train taking over the tracks, a captivating sunset, or kids having the time of their lives, this is your moment to show the best that the city has to offer.
A total of 15 images will be chosen to grace the calendar. Bring your photo taking A-game and see if your picture makes it into the hands of more than 10,000 citizens. Keep in mind, these images need to be as high resolution as possible in order to keep the details sharp.
The city asks for submissions to adhere to the following rules in order for the image submission to be considered:

- Image must be taken in Cartersville
- Include your name, location of image, short description, and year image was taken
- Use a horizontal/landscape format image or wide shot.
- Avoid zooming in when using a smartphone, as that makes the image grainy. Rather, step closer to your subject.
- Image submission ends at 5 p.m. on Oct. 22
- Copyright Acknowledgement: By submitting, you acknowledge that you are the owner or copyright holder of the photograph and grant permission for the City of Cartersville to use it. You also acknowledge the City of Cartersville may need to resize or crop the image, for proper formatting, or may add verbiage to accommodate the image. Images submitted featuring people must have approval of use from each person. The city will credit the image with your name.
