Those family members informed law enforcement that Bridges, who was last seen around 9 a.m. Sunday, March 6 at his home, "had some recent medical problems and he had recently apologized to all the family for any wrong doings, but he had not made any statements to harm himself or anyone else," the agency said.

The grim discovery was made in a vehicle parked outside an abandoned house on Carson Loop, which is located off Cass White Road in unincorporated Cartersville.

The sheriff's office said a preliminary investigation indicates Gregory may have died from "medical related issues," and no foul play is suspected at this time.
