Cartersville Medical Center To Host Paramedic Exercise

Cartersville Medical Center will conduct a Region C pandemic exercise next week.

CARTERSVILLE, GA - From Cartersville Medical Center: Cartersville Medical Center will be conducting a Region C Pandemic/Medical Surge Full Scale Exercise, Wednesday, November 8th from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Patient care will not be impacted by this drill.

The exercise is in response to the annual requirement from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for hospitals nationwide to test their emergency preparedness response. Public agencies involved include Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, Bartow County Emergency Management Agency, Bartow County EMS and Bartow County Fire Department.

A portion of the exercise will be initiated in a small part of the Lowe’s parking lot and will continue on to the Cartersville Medical Center campus.
