Cartersville Pets Can Have Their Photos Taken With Santa Claus

The 2nd annual Santa Paws for a Cause, which will benefit the Etowah Valley Humane Society, will take place at Soleil Tan in Cartersville.

Cartersville residents who don’t want their pets to miss out on photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will have the opportunity to have their furry loved ones pose with the couple hailing from the North Pole.

The second annual Santa Paws for a Cause will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Soleil Tan at 650 Henderson Drive Suite 107 in Cartersville.

The event will raise money for the Etowah Valley Humane Society, which serves Cartersville and Bartow County.

”I have committed to doing it each year,” said Melissa Latimer, owner of Soleil Tan. “I am a dog lover by birth, I guess you could say. I have four Chihuahuas of my own. I just love helping to benefit our community and just really love giving back...(as) a local business owner.”

For $25, residents will be able to have their pets’ pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and receive four wallet-sized photos and two 4x6 images. There also will be a double-sided ornament available for an additional $15. In addition to funds raised through photography sessions, Santa Paws for a Cause also will support the Humane Society by encouraging people to donate dry dog and cat food, kitty litter and gently used blankets and towels.
