Cartersville Police To Reconstruct Fatal Accident Scene

The Cartersville Police Department on Sunday will map out the area where a pedestrian was fatally wounded earlier this month.

The agency will reconstruct the accident starting at 8 p.m. Oct. 19 along Joe Frank Harris Parkway/U.S. 41 at Zena Drive.

Cartersville police say this activity will take “several hours to complete,” so traffic may be stopped in the area at times.

Motorists are advised to take precautions while driving in the area.

Floyd Eugene Hardin, 54, was killed on Oct. 3 when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old motorist who was allegedly under the influence.

Police arrested Cartersville resident Derrick Hardin and charged him with DUI and violating his driving permit in relation to the fatal accident.
