Cartersville Police Wants To Hire Two Officers

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen to apply.

The Cartersville Police Department is looking to fill two officer positions.

The application package may be obtained at the agency’s headquarters at 195 Cassville Road, on the agency’s website or by emailing Captain Mark Camp at camp73@cartersvillepolice.com.

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen in order to apply. The application package contains a list of automatic disqualifiers, an outline of the hiring process, a list of documents that must accompany the application package, a pre-interview polygraph questionnaire and the application itself.

Applicants must also be able to pass a polygraph, psychological exam, drug screen, physical agility test, physical exam, and a thorough background investigation.

Starting salary range is $34,770 to $38,379, and depends upon experience and certification status. There are also sign-on bonuses for candidates with college degrees and various law enforcement certifications. You do not have to be a certified officer to apply.
