Cartersville Watch Shop Named May Merchant Of The Month

A Cartersville watch and clock shop has been named the May Merchant of the Month.

It's About Time Boutique, located at 10 S. Wall Street, was given the honor by the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority and the city's Main Street Program. 

Though the store carries numerous brands like Luminox, Timex, Seiko, Citizen and more, visitors will also find high end quality gifts for any occasion. 

Owner Dan Kramer is no stranger to the jewelry business. With a father in the business, Kramer was in the industry long before he opened his own shop in November 2013. 

After running businesses for other people more than a decade, Kramer said he wanted to open his own business to "express his own personal tastes," according to a press release from the Cartersville DDA.

"Having grown up in a small historic town and having a love for history, I was immediately drawn to downtown Cartersville," he added. "The atmosphere and charm of the location fit in perfectly with my vision for the store."

Since opening, the business has morphed into carrying quality time pieces as well as Arthur Court giftware; high end jewelry lines like Thistle & Bee, Honora Pearls, and Southern Gates; and Salisbury Pewter, which is a line of sterling silver baby gift items. 

It’s About Time Boutique is also the only authorized Waterford Crystal dealer in the city.

“I wanted to create an atmosphere reminiscent of an old time jewelry store,” Kramer continued. “A full service store where people could get quality gifts for any occasion. The reception from the people of Cartersville has been wonderful. I love nothing more than when people come in for a watch battery and are shocked by the variety of the inventory.”

It’s About Time Boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
