Child Injured After Jumping From School Bus In Cartersville
The juvenile jumped from the back door of the bus Thursday afternoon.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A juvenile was transported to an area hospital Thursday afternoon following an incident where the child reportedly jumped from a school bus in Cartersville.
Bartow County EMS responded to the scene at the intersection of Porter Street and Redcomb Drive. They arrived to find the child conscious and alert after she jumped from the back door of the school bus, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

It's unclear which school the bus was traveling from and if the bus was actually moving at the time of the child's leap. Patch has reached out to the Cartersville City School System to get additional details about the incident.
