Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:

  1. For the next two weeks, Cartersville Fire Department will perform training exercises around the Church Street Bridge. The training effort will not use live fire. However, simulated theatrical smoke may be required at times. Training will be held Oct. 25, 26 and 27 at night, beginning around 6 p.m. The exercises will pick back up Nov. 1 to 3 - twice daily, before and after lunch. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
