Corps of Engineers To Close Picnic Area, Boat Launch For Construction

Starting Monday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Allatoona Lake Project will close Cooper Branch Day Use Park #1’s picnic area and boat ramp for construction and placement of a new boat house.

The area will be closed from June 15 to July 3.
The Cooper Branch Day Use Park #1 is located at 1121 Highway Spur 20 in Cartersville. Boat launchers, fishermen and picnickers should schedule their activities at other locations during this time period.
