CRBI Celebrates Earth Week with Greenies, Paddle Trip

The paddle trip will take place Saturday, April 21.

From Coosa River Basin: With Earth Day set for Sunday, April 22, the Coosa River Basin Initiative is celebrating Earth Week by recognizing local entities accomplishing extraordinary work to protect our natural resources and by hosting a paddle trip on the Etowah River.

Attached please find a press release regarding the CRBI's Greenie Awards to be presented April 19 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Dark Side of the Moon event space in downtown Rome. The paddle trip will take place Saturday, April 21.

Receiving Greenies will be Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, Chatsworth Water Works Commission, Boys and Girls Club in Dalton and Rome, Georgia-Alabama Land Trust and Paragon Wool Products.

Tickets to the Greenie Awards ceremony are now available online at https://coosa.org/greenie-awards/. Tickets are $35 each, or $30 each for two or more. The event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks along with an awards ceremony highlighting the work of the honorees and live rhythm and blues music from The Connection Band, featuring Hardy Sams.
