Deadline To Register to Vote in Cartersville is Monday

Advanced voting in Cartersville and Bartow County for the Nov. 4 general election will start on Oct. 13.

Cartersville and Bartow County residents who wish to vote in the Nov. 4 general election but have yet to register will have until Monday to do so.

The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming election ends is Oct. 6. Residents who have a valid Georgia’s driver’s license or identification card can go online and register to vote, the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office said in a press release.

The GA Votes app also allows Georgians to register to vote. Using the MVP feature on the app, Georgia voters can view their specific sample ballot, find their polling locations, check voter registration status and track the status of their absentee ballot.

All of this information is available on mobile devices on iOS and Android platforms. To find the app search for GA Votes in the Apple app store or the Google Play store.

Early voting in Cartersville and Bartow County starts Oct. 13 and ends on Oct. 31. Residents can vote at the county’s main elections office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13-17 and Oct. 20-24.

The main elections office is located at 1300 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville.

Saturday voting will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the main office.

Along with the main elections office, advanced voting will expand to the Cartersville Civic Center and Adairsville Historic Rail Depot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 through Friday, Oct. 31.

No voting will take place on Nov. 3 and all county precincts will open on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the general election. The runoff date for state and local general election is set for Dec. 2 while any federal runoff election would be held on Jan. 6, 2015.
