Dirt Bike Operator Dies in Bartow Crash
The Georgia State Patrol said the 20-year-old man veered into the wrong lane of travel and crashed head-on into a pickup truck.

ACWORTH, GA -- A 20-year-old man was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle accident involving a dirt bike.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the fatal collision, which occurred at 8:49 p.m. March 24 on Glade Road SE north of Misty Valley Drive SE.
Initial reports indicate a dirt bike was traveling northbound on Glade Road while a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound.

The driver of the truck, 39-year-old Duluth resident Hector Lara-Montalban, "stated that dirt bike attempted to pass another vehicle at the hill crest at a high rate of speed."
According to the agency, the dirt bike then traveled northbound in the southbound lane of Glade Road and hit the front of the truck.
After impact, Rodolfo Lara Solis, 20, of Acworth, was ejected from the dirt bike and struck the trailer of the truck, the agency stated.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the Georgia State Patrol said. Return to Patch for updates.
