Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:

  1. Cartersville police saw a driver weaving erratically and tried to initiate a stop on Cassville Road and Aubrey Street. The driver did not stop and continued toward Cherokee Avenue where the vehicle struck a utility pole, but continued until it hit another car on N Tennessee Street and was disabled. The driver was arrested and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, DUI and other traffic violations. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Nicole Black, coach of the North Georgia Wolfpack 10u- Rooks, has been voted by her peers as this week's Braves Coach of the Week. Coach of the Week winners receive a $100 Kroger gift card and an Atlanta Braves player-signed baseball. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
