Motorist Ejected In Rollover Crash In Cartersville

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A motorist was ejected in a rollover crash midday Friday in Bartow County.

Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the accident at noon July 28 along Sugar Valley Road near Road 1 SW in Cartersville. Bystanders informed emergency officials that the motorist had been ejected from the vehicle, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

Cothran noted crews arrived to find the patient about 10 feet away from the vehicle.

The patient suffered numerous cuts and lacerations, and was diagnosed on the scene as having an altered mental state. Emergency medical personnel assessed the motorist, who was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
