Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash on Red Top Mountain Road near Websters Overlook Road just south of Cartersville.
Brad Cothran, spokesperson with the agency, said the incident involved a rollover crash in which the roof on the driver’s side of the vehicle struck a large boulder.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver, Acworth resident Sherry Lynn Levalley, 58, was negotiating a curve on Red Top Mountain Road and lost control of her 2001 GMC Jimmy while traveling southbound.
The SUV crossed into the northbound lane, began to overturn and came to a final, uncontrolled rest on its top off the eastern edge of the road, the agency said.
“While coming to final rest, the vehicle struck a large boulder on the side of the road,” GSP added.
The driver, who was the only occupant inside the vehicle, was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital “due to the severity of the accident and the amount of intrusion (in)to the driver compartment,” Cothran added.
The woman was conscious and alert when she was transported, Cothran stated.
