Driver Injured When Car Hydroplanes, Overturns, Lands in Ditch

Cartersville, GA -- A motorist suffered minor injuries when the car she was driving hydroplaned and overturned Friday afternoon in Cartersville.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of the Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Mac Johnson Road when, attempting to negotiate a curve to the left, the car hydroplaned.

The Corolla then traveled off the east shoulder and overturned a the ditch, said Trooper Christopher Minney of Georgia State Patrol’s Post 3 office in Cartersville.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment. Minny added the family of the victim showed up at the scene of the crash, and followed up with her at the hospital.
