Elderly Man Falls Off Scaffolding At Cartersville Warehouse

The man, who plunged 10 feet at the warehouse on Swisher Drive, suffered injuries to his head and pelvis.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A man suffered injuries when he plunged 10 feet off a scaffolding Thursday evening at a warehouse in Cartersville.

Bartow EMS crews responded to the warehouse on Swisher Drive and found the elderly male fell and landed on the concrete floor, said spokesperson Brad Cothran.

The patient, who was alert and oriented, suffered injuries to his head and pelvis, however. He was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment.

The news follows reports earlier in the day of two men who fell 30 feet off the roof of a home near Taylorsville. One man wasn't injured, but the other male suffered neck pain and complained of no feeling in his legs.

That patient was taken to Floyd Medical Center for evaluation.
