A woman was injured when she fell from a third story window Tuesday afternoon at a Cartersville apartment complex.

Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services responded to the Huntwood Terrace apartments on Center Road in Cartersville.
Brad Cothran, spokesperson with the agency, said an elderly woman fell from a third story window. Upon arrival, crews discovered the woman suffered multiple severe traumatic injuries.

The patient has been transported via helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for treatment, Cothran added.
