The Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site will host what it is calling a Day of Discovery and Scavenger Hunt Challenge.

The event will take place Saturday, June 13 and allow residents to learn about Native American life, archaeology and nature through fun activities.

The Scavenger Hunt Challenge will involve guests competing outside in a race against time to see and do things around the park.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the site, which is at 813 Indian Mounds Road SE in Cartersville. The cost to participate is $2 for children up to 5 years old, $4 for youth 6-17 years old and $6 for adults
