All Day Bluegrass Bands at Red Top

Rain or shine, Bluegrass fans have another reason to celebrate this year at Red Top Mountain State Park. On September 8th the park will be hosting All Day Bluegrass Concerts sponsored by the Friends of Red Top Mountain and supported by the SouthEastern Bluegrass Association. Admission for this special event is $15 per person (Kids 12 and under are free). The morning begins at 11 am with an hour long open stage session where you are the star. Then from noon to 7 pm a different live band will be playing every hour. A food vendor (cash only) is available on site. The day's festivities will be held at Group Shelter 1 area which can be reached via the beach entrance at the park.

The day's schedule boasts an impressive lineup of bands. The Old Mill Road band will kick things off at noon followed by Wheelhoss, Bullsboro, Apostles of Bluegrass, Grass Backardz, Counterpoint, and the East Dixie Boys. The night does not end there, though. Bring your instruments and join fellow musicians in an evening jam from 7 pm to 10 pm.

$5 Day Park Pass or annual ParkPass is required for all vehicles. For more information visit http://www.gastateparks.org/RedTopMountain or call 770-975-0055.
