Shonto Begay, featured artist for the Southeastern Cowboy Festival and Symposium, will discuss his artistic career. Begay grew up on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and attended the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. He worked 10 years as national parks ranger before launching his art career. His stated hope is to build bridges through the arts and stories of his culture.
