Georgia Highlands College Summer Camps Registration

Register now for Summer SPEED DEVELOPMENT CAMP (held at The Sports Training Center and Speed School located in downtown Acworth).  

Take athletics to the next level, it’s a fact, if you’re a better athlete, you’ll be a better player at your sport. Georgia Highlands College in conjunction with “The Sports Training Center & Speed School” will be participating with local athletes of all ages with this year’s Summer Speed Development Camp.

                        Founder of “The Speed School” in 2002, Specialist & Speed Development Coach Mike Klinefelter, will be conducting the clinic. Coach Klinefelter, a legend in this area with background, knowledge & reputation for teaching in the field of plyometrics and speed development. A former state, regional and national title holder with a background in bodybuilding, power & Olympic lifting, track & field. Leading the Georgia Express USTAFA team to state, regional and national titles in 4x400 and the KSU 4x400 team to first at the indoor conference championships his first year as sprint coach & the schools first year in D-1 competition. The Speed School is recognized by NUC as its official combine prep training facility in Atlanta.

Register now for SCIENCE FAIR BOOT CAMP.  

Science Fair is one the biggest events of the school year and many students struggle to develop an idea and plan and complete their projects with the demands of school and their extracurricular activities. Science Fair Boot Camp is designed to give you child a head start on the science fair process and get excited about science.  Sharon Christensen has 34 years of experience teaching middle school and high school science.  She has served as both a state and national director of the science fair program.  She will work with your student to guide them as they decide on a project idea they are interested in studying and develop a plan applying the scientific method.  In the process, they are sure to develop a new perspective and excitement for science and be ready to present their proposal to their science teacher when school begins.

Camp Date: July 11 thru July 14, 9am to 12 noon
