The Legion Studio is held in conjunction with Georgia Highlands College beginning September 15, 2012. Workshops for youth are Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM at the Legion Theatre in Cartersville.
Workshops at the Legion Studio introduce participants to basic theatrical concepts such as the terminology and technology of the theater and progress to stage concepts, such as stage movement and voice projection. The final weeks concentrate on character development and improvisation skills. Upon completion of the six-week program, all graduates appear in an original production at the Legion Theatre.
The youth program is available for children ages 6 to 12 and costs $200 per student. Classes begin on September 15, 2012, and continue each Saturday until the final production. The final production for the youth program is on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 10 AM at the Legion Theatre.
