For the first time, Steps of Faith is set to showcase its company dancers in a special spring show.
Freedom, a new ballet written by the staff, will be presented Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. at The Grand Theatre.
The ballet portrays spiritual warfare and the battle between good and evil in our lives.

"The power of Christ to freedom is shown in a powerful and relatable way," the dance company's press release says. "All of us have burdens and sins we carry around with us everyday. The ballet shows the releasing of those burdens and bondage, and the freedom we can experience once we let them go."
Steps of Faith staffer and professional ballet costume maker, Ashleyanne Hensley designed and made original costumes for the shows, which also feature dance genres tap, modern, pointe and contemporary, in addition to classical musical theater and ballet choreography.
