- No arrests have been made in the Saturday, September 3 clash of mostly teenage girls attending the Pioneer Days Festival at Sam Smith Park. Video taken of the incident shows roughly a dozen people, including one individual holding a baby, among a crowd of appalled festival attendees. - Using $1.5 million in Georgia DNR grant funds, Bartow County will erect nearly four miles of intermediate-level mountain biking trails at its Wilderness Camp Greenspace. These new trails will increase recreational possibilities for existing mountain bikers and prove a more challenging option for advanced riders.
