Former City Worker Threatened to Shoot Co-Worker: Report

The Cartersville man reportedly was arrested for possessing images of child pornography, and made a threat against another employee.

A former technology administrator for the city of Cartersville – who faces charges of possessing pornographic images of children – reportedly threatened to shoot a co-worker, say media reports.

Security has been beefed up at Cartersville City Hall after Scotty LeMaster was fired. Federal authorities say they found the pornographic material on his city-issued computer while investigating an alleged threat he made, reports WSB TV.

Besides an increased police presence, the city also installed another door locking system, changed passwords and installed more security cameras. LeMaster, who served in the military, reportedly had a semi-automatic weapon in his home.
