- Possible Tennessee Street improvements presented: On Nov. 17, the Cartersville City Council was presented with recommendations and suggestions from a Tennessee Street corridor study. This report recommended roundabouts, sidewalk reconstruction and potential traffic light removal. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
- Two Cartersville were men killed in Cherokee County crash: Cherokee County Sheriff's office said two people were killed in a car crash in the Sutallee community Wednesday afternoon. According to deputies, the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Both men were from Cartersville. (WSB Atlanta)
- Funding supports Advocates' Together for Families: State of Hope awarded fundingfor Advocates for Children's Together for Families program. The Together for Families program began in April. Advocates for Children helped more than 14,000 people last year. The nonprofit provides a children's shelter and numerous programs that aid in the awareness, prevention and treatment of child abuse.
