GDOT To Begin Resurfacing Ga. 61 In Bartow County
The highway will be resurfaced from the Paulding County line to just south of Ga. 113 west of Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Georgia DOT has awarded a contract to Bartow Paving Company to resurface a 4-mile stretch of Ga. 61 in Bartow County.
The $1.1 million contract calls for repaving S.R. 61 beginning at the Paulding County line to just south of S.R. 113 west of Cartersville.
“This project and others like it in northwest Georgia add up to these two things: better mobility and a better quality of life for all the area’s residents,” said Dewayne Comer, district engineer at the Georgia DOT office in Cartersville.
