GDOT To Close GA-20, Upper Sweetwater Trail Intersection To Through Traffic
The intersection will be closed from Sept. 14 to mid-December so it can be tied into its realignment with Knox Bridge Highway.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that Upper Sweetwater Trail will be temporarily closed to through traffic at its intersection with S.R. 20/Knox Bridge Highway later this month.

The intersection will be closed Sept. 14 through approximately Dec. 18 in order to tie into its realignment with S.R. 20/Knox Bridge Highway in western Cherokee County.
A posted detour utilizing Rhine Road will be provided during the duration of the construction.

The Georgia Department of Transportation asks motorists to pack their patience, and to also obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of their neighbors and construction crews.
