GoFundMe Page Created For Woman Killed In Crash
Brittany Gatt, 19, died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Jan. 25 in Cartersville.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The community is rallying around the family of a 19-year-old woman who was killed in a two-vehicle accident last week in Bartow County.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family of Brittany Gatt, who died from injuries sustained in the Jan. 25 collision at the intersection of Euharlee Road and S.R. 113.
Just over $2,100 has been raised and organizers have a goal to raise $3,000, all of which will help the family with any expenses they may face within the next few weeks.

Cartersville police spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer said the crash, reported around 8:50 p.m., involved a pick-up truck and a passenger vehicle.
EMS and fire crews arrived to find three patients on scene. The first, a woman, was trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Cartersville Fire Department officials were able to extricate Gatt, who was unresponsive with "numerous trauma injuries," said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran. The 19-year-old was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where she later died from her injuries, Bettikofer added.
Another motorist on the scene, the male driver of the first car, was alert and complained of soreness and other injuries, Cothran added. The man, identified by the GoFundMe page as Brittany Gatt's father, David, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash reported no injures and declined transportation to the hospital.
Bettikofer told Patch that the accident remains under investigation by Cartersville police.
