Halloween Events Scheduled In Bartow County

Be sure to mark your calendar for these events if you want to bypass traditional trick-or-treating outings.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- At least three events are scheduled in the coming days for anyone who'd rather bypass traditional trick-or-treating activities for their little ones.

First up is the 6th Annual Fall Festival hosted by the Bartow County Parks & Recreation Department. The festival will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the Hamilton Crossing Park soccer field at 31 Beavers Drive in Cartersville.

Admission is free, and youngsters -- and adults, if you are so inclined -- are invited to dress up in their favorite costume and join the county for fun and entertainment. The event will also feature trick or treating activities, food and drinks and various vendors. To the north in Adairsville, that city will host its Halloween on the Square celebration from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. The free event will involve various businesses participating in trick-or-treating activities for children. The event will be held on the city's downtown square. If that isn't enough, Bartow county residents are invited to venture over to Tellus Science Museum for its Science Spooky Night: Who Glows There? event. There will be hands-on as well as make-and-take activities, scavenger hunts, games, planetarium shows and other events suitable for children of all ages. Don't forget to dress up in your costume for what's sure to be an exciting and educational evening.
