That's according to Director Bryan Canty, who posted the message on the organization's website and Facebook page. The facility on Ladds Mountain Road in Cartersville will close Sunday, March 6 and will be closed for about two weeks to accommodate new flooring, painting and "general repairs," Canty added.
Animals at the shelter will be boarded at an off-site facility, "but we will make every effort to keep the animals accessible by daily transports to this property and holding adoptions in our dog park in front of the shelter (weather permitting)," Canty stated.

"These improvements are long overdue, and should provide a healthier environment for our homeless pets and greatly enhance the adoption experience at EVHS," he added.
