ICYMI: Soil Buildup Inside Ice Machine

The Bartow County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections July 27 through Aug. 3 at the following establishments:

CAPRI RESTAURANT (Food Service Inspections)*

• Handwash sink not accessible for employee use at all times, due many dirty dishes in the sink. CA: Explained to PIC why it was required to have keep the sink accessible and free from debris.
• Observed ice bin with soil build up on the interior. CA: Discussed with pic about cleaning frequency of the ice bin.
• Observed sanitizing bucket being stored on the floor. CA: PIC was notified that the equipment so be stored 6 inches off the ground.
• Observed build-up of food debris, grease, and/or dirt on non-food contact surface behind the flattop grill, and on the sides of the grill. CA: PIC was notified of the issue and voiced that the grill would be cleaned.
