Study predicts 150,000+ Bartow County population by 2050: As of 2020, Bartow County was home to roughly 108,000 people, but recent projections anticipate Bartow's population to eclipse 150,000 by 2050. Over the same 30-year timeframe, projections for local school enrollment figures estimate countywide elementary school enrollment numbers increasing from about 7,875 to 9,916.   2. Alleged robbery outside Vineyards Apartments: A man reported that two unknown suspects pointed guns at him and demanded his money. The incident occurred at the Vineyards Apartment Homes off Grassdale Road early Wednesday morning. The victim stated that the two masked suspects took his pants that contained his wallet with cash inside and ran away to an unknown destination. (wbhfradio.org)

Epic Homes 149-home development along Old Alabama Road proposal moves along: Bartow County Planning Commission recommended for approval a request to rezone about 73 acres near Old Alabama Road and Highway 113. During the public meeting held on Nov. 7, a small number of area residents expressed their concerns about the proposed development. Commissioner Steve Taylor will vote to accept or reject the recommendation on the rezoning request Nov. 16. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
