  1. Locations are being discussed for a proposed new I-75 interchange: At a meeting on December 1, several locations for the proposed new North Bartow I-75 interchange were mulled over. Pat Smeeton, a transportation planning lead from the firm TranSystems Corp., noted that the proposed interchange would have to tie into an existing public road. A vice president for the firm Mott MacDonald, Ed Culican, said a 10- to 15-year timeframe for how soon construction on could begin seems realistic. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
  2. A BCSO vehicle was involved in two vehicle accident: On Thursday, December 1, a marked Bartow County Sheriff's Office patrol car was responding to a call for service. While traveling south on Highway 41, the patrol car struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a citizen who failed to use a turn signal. Georgia State Patrol officials say the crash is still under investigation, but could not say if there were any injuries or if charges were filed. (wbhfradio.org)
