Joseph Paul Chastain, 46, passed away Saturday August 15, 2015. Paul was born in Cartersville on June 14, 1969 and was a lifelong Cartersville resident. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Paul was a generous and caring person and was loved by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Chastain, his brother Tim Chastain and special family friend Collins Dixon.
He is survived by his son Ronnie Clay Chastain; mother Shelba Chastain; sisters Yvonne Holmes (Bobby) and Karla Wooton; nieces and nephews Morgan, Mason and Makenzie Holmes and Dylan Sanborn; special family Bob and Robin Dixon, Sonny and Aaron Age; many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as many special friends.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home at 4 p.m. on Friday Aug. 21. with The Rev. James Black officiating. Interment followed at Center Baptist Church.
The family received friends on Thursday, Aug. 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Mason Holmes, Dylan Sanborn, Jeff Bradley, Kyle Bradley, Tony Chastain, and Johnny Holden.
Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Branton, Jeff Kelley, Danny Kelley, Tim Kelley, Rodney (Knobby) Sukkau, Orlando Powell, Jason Boyd, Cosmo Delia, Jay Taylor, Michael Greer, Sonny Age, Aaron Age, Guy Hodge, Jeremy North and Brian (B.R.) Roberts.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to the Paul Chastain Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, Cartersville, GA.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Dr. Cartersville, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
