  1. Jonathan Cruz, of Cartersville football and soccer, hopes to be Ole Miss' answer to their loss of a longterm kicker with his final year of eligibility. Ole Miss' is within a five-hour drive of his hometown of Cartersville, Georgia. (Rivals.com - Ole Miss)
  2. Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that Duluth Trading Company will build a new distribution and fulfillment facility in Adairsville. This is an investment of $53 million in Bartow County and will create more than 300 new jobs. (Gov.Georgia.gov)
  3. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has compiled its preseason Super 11 team every summer since 1985. In addition to this year's best-of lists, subscribers can read profiles of the Super 11 All-time team of the last four decades. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  4. At the request of his uncle, a Bartow resident offered a ride to man he says robbed him with the help of another man before they arrived to the destination. The suspects reportedly took $100 in cash and an iPhone 11 Pro Max from the victim at gunpoint. (wbhfradio.org)
